Top 5 Countries With Awesome Theme Parks

Theme parks are a worldwide phenomenon, and you can pretty much find them anywhere. However, some countries are better than others for the adrenaline junkies out there. Criss-cross the globe enough times and you’ll encounter world-famous parks as well as the most historic rides. Here’s a selection of countries that feature awesome theme parks.

United States: There are many famous theme parks in America. Start with the most obvious: the chain of Six Flags parks across the country, Disneyland in Anaheim , and Disneyworld in Orlando, all of which enjoy huge popularity. Cedar Point theme park in Sandusky, Ohio bills itself as the “roller coaster capital of the world.” Universal’s Islands of Adventure in Orlando opened in May 1999 and is also a very popular choice.

England: The UK is also known for its theme parks. Arguably the most famous of them all is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, featuring the famous Big Dipper ride that was originally built in 1923. There are a lot of great places to visit in England if you’re looking for fast rides and a fun atmosphere.

Spain: PortAventura is the reason that Spain makes our list. It’s one of the most popular theme parks in Europe and attracts over four million visitors every year. There’s currently another theme park being built at the location as well, and it’ll be ready by the end of 2016. That’s a good enough reason for a holiday in the sun, isn’t it?!

France: France also makes our list because of one park in particular: Disneyland. It’s the most visited park in Europe and continues to attract a massive number of visitors. It’s not the only amusement park in France, though. Parc Asterix has been open to the public for more than 25 years.

Japan: Tokyo Disneyland (yes, again!) is another highly populated tourist attraction. Tokyo also benefits from a theme park called DisneySea. Between the two parks, just under 30 million people visit the Japanese Disney installments every year. The range theme parks in Japan also includes a Universal Studios.

Germany: Europa Park is the second-most popular theme park in Europe. It normally attracts about 5 million visitors per year and can accommodate up to 50,000 per day. The park splits into twelve sections, each representing a different European country. It’s a unique park that’s worth a visit.

Canada: There are loads of theme parks to visit in Canada, beginning with Canada’s Wonderland. It’s divided into eight parks, each dedicated to a different activity. Its most famous ride is the Mighty Canadian Minebuster, the longest roller coaster in all of Canada.

The world is packed full of theme parks that are fun for all the family. Those who aren’t so keen on fast rides can still enjoy themselves at the majority of these locations. Remember to book online in advance before you go, as you’ll often save money this way.
